TESI and RMU issue a Call for Symposium Presentation Proposals
Proposal submission deadline: Friday, October 15, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PT
Proposals must be submitted to T-Michael Dougherty at tmichael.dougherty@emgsolutions.com as a word document using the Symposium Proposal Submission Form below. The decision as to whether to accept a proposal and matters regarding the final content, format, and scheduling of any presentation rests with the Rocky Mountain University / The EMG Solutions Institute’s selection committee. Presenters’ names will be blinded from the committee, and selection will be made based on content and relevance to current practice needs.
Presenter time allotments
- Presentation time is 40 minutes total – 35 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for Q & A.
Symposium proposal submissions must contain
- Title (15 words maximum)
- Presentation description (200 words maximum)
- Presentation learning objectives (four (4) maximum)
- Two test questions and answers
- Bibliographic references
- Minimum of five to seven, current
- No more than seven years old (2019 and later)
- Content outline
- Differential diagnosis content (express in minutes)
- Speaker(s) information
- Name, degrees/credentials, institution, city, state, and speaking experience
- Speaker biographical information
- Keywords
- Recommended content level
- Basic, intermediate, advanced
- Conflict of interest disclosure
- Presenter Release
Important things to remember when submitting your proposal
- Speaker information will appear as submitted in all Rocky Mountain University & The EMG Solutions Institute (TESI) publications.
- Contact co-presenters (if applicable) to ensure the accuracy of their information before finalizing your submission.
- Selection of proposals will be based on a foundation in evidence, clarity of the proposal, probable interest to participants, fiscal feasibility, and time constraints.
- Proposals should be devoid of any promotional content.
- Presentations will be recorded. Presenters will be given a form to agree to have their presentation recorded.
- Recordings may be turned into a self-paced asynchronous course where the presenters will be additionally compensated based upon the RMU/TESI continuing education program.
- Presenters accepted for the 2027 RMU Symposium will be required to submit a final abstract (per abstract guidelines) and a complete PowerPoint presentation to Laurel Webster at laurel.webster@emgsolutions.com no later than January 29, 2027.
- Presenters accepted for the 2027 RMU Symposium will be required to sign a contract with RMU/TESI.
- Presenters selected for the 2027 RMU Symposium will be responsible for making their own travel and lodging arrangements. A stipend of $1,300 will be provided to help offset associated expenses. Additionally, course registration fees will be waived for presenters.
- Presenters must use RMU ppt templates for their presentations, provided upon acceptance of their proposal.
